As we learnt in the previous module, it’s your thoughts that count, because your feelings are influenced by your thoughts. If you feel anxious you are more likely to experience anxious thoughts and if you experience anxious thoughts you are more likely to feel anxious and so a viscious circle is set up. You can help yourself by adopting the strategies in this module.
If you are an anxious person, you probably sit and spend a lot of time thinking about the bad things that could happen to you and your family. The more you focus your attention on these thoughts and the bad things that could be just around the corner, the more likely you are to believe that they’ll actually happen. Download the next session to see what you can do to try and begin thinking more realistically.
In the last session we looked at strategies for facing your fears. This session looks at what you can do with your anxiety while facing your fears.
