Hello and welcome to this 6 session focussed short course about learning to accept who you are. If you’re prone to disturbing feelings such as depression, anxiety, anger, jealousy etc. then you may have a low self opinion and problems with your self esteem. You can help yourself by following the principles of self acceptance outlined in this course. This may give you the strength and practice you need to go on to other longer courses where you can tackle other difficulties in your life.
You may be assuming that you’re only as worthwhile as your achievements, love life, attractiveness etc. If you link your self worth to these, and for some reason they take a nose dive, then your self esteem can plummet too. Or perhaps you take a long term dim view of yourself. Take a look at your worth and see what you can do to help yourself.

One way of tackling low self esteem is to boost your self rating. However, the problem will still be there and your self esteem will still go up and down. An alternative method is to learn self acceptance.
